Welcome to my Passive Income Geek review.
If you come across this course and you are looking for an honest review to make an informed decision, you are in the right place.
There are many online courses out there. But they are not equal in terms of quality and effectiveness. Some are even scams to avoid at any cost.
So you made a good decision to do your own research first before buying any seemingly legit course.
In this Passive Income Geek review, I will show you what the course is about, its cost, what you get for your money, the pros and cons, alternatives, and my final point of view.
Without any delay, let’s dive in.
What is Passive Income Geek about?
As I said previously, the Passive Income Geek is an online course that teaches you how to make money online with affiliate marketing through blogging.
The course was designed by Morten Storgaard. By looking at his channel videos and his marketing background, I come up to believe that he has a good track record in SEO.
In fact, Morten Storgaard is generating thousands of dollars with his niche sites.
But one thing is having the skills and knowledge, another one is to be able to teach it to other people.
By the end, you finish reading my Passive Income Geek review you will know if this course is worth your money or not.
So keep reading.
Who is Morten Storgaard?
Morten Storgaard is the owner and creator of the Passive Income Geek course.
He has a good track record in affiliate marketing and blogging.
On the Passive income Geek sale page, the owner is transparent with his potential customers by showing some of his own website that is generating ads and affiliate revenue for him. He even sold one of his websites for $30000 just like this guy.
But something I don’t like is that Morten Storgaard says on the same sales page that the course has 8 months with 400 students.
I don’t know if this is a marketing or sale pitch that the course has been launched in 2020. That is 2 years so far.
Maybe it is an error.
The course has been launched in 2020 and the owner claims that he has over 400 students. With such claims, I was expecting to see real success stories of his students. I can see testimonials on the sale page that this is not convincing.
However, the way I can be confident recommending a course to you is when I see real students’ results or success stories.
On the sale page, I see a few students’ testimonials but proof of real results that convince me is missing.
If it is a new course I can understand.
Anyway, there are courses I myself bought used where I can put my name behind.
One of these courses is this one.
Certain people are wondering if Morten Storgaard is a scam or real.
Of you are part of these people, let me be clear with you.
Morten Storgaard is a real online entrepreneur and not a scammer.
His course Passive Income Geek is not a scam either.
To is is one thing I like about this course.
What will you learn with the Passive Income Geek course?
The Passive Income Geek as I said is an affiliate marketing course and the owner teaches you how to make a passive income with affiliate marketing.
But it seems the owner focuses on ad monetization more than affiliate marketing.
The course basically teaches you:
- How to choose a niche,
- How to validate your niche idea,
- How to do keyword research and then choose topics for your blog
- How to choose a domain and web host
- How to create your website from scratch,
- Create content that is SEO optimized so that you can rank them on Google,
- How to monetize your site with ads
- How to find affiliate products to promote
- How to outsource content and scale your business, and much more.
How much does the Passive Income Geek cost?
The Passive Income Geek course pricing model is like the Income School Project 24. It costs $399 for your first year subscription and you then pay $199 per year if you decide to continue.
This is the cost to access the course material.
But there are other expenses involved if you want to apply what you learned in the course.
The course is about affiliate marketing throughout blogging.
And you obviously need a domain name and a web hosting service.
I have a detailed article on how much it costs to start your own blog you can check it out if you want to have an idea of how much extra you will need.
What do you get for your money?
As for the course owner your $399, purchase give you immediate access to the entire course.
On top of the course, they claim you will get access to an active community for help.
Is Passive Income Geek a scam?
Not at all. While there are several reasons people can tag a course as a scam.
I believe this course is not a scam.
Passive Income Geek is a legit course where you can learn how to make money blogging.
The owner is also a real person and honest.
Only there are a few success stories and this is one of the reasons I cannot recommend this course to my audience.
If he had over 400 students as he claims and among them, there are no candid results it leads to a conclusion like this – the succès rate is low. In other words, the course is not very effective.
It is more than a blogging Course than an affiliate marketing course though.
Passive Income Geek Pros And Cons
Passive Income Geek Cons
✔ The course teaches a proven and long term SEO strategy – white hat SEO
✔ A beginner-friendly and easy to follow blogging course,
✔ Value for money,
✔ The course gets updated regularly according to the owner.
Passive Income Geek Cons
❌ An ongoing yearly cost and I don’t see something that justifies the $199 yearly fee,
❌ You may lose access to the course after the first year if you decide to stop paying your membership,
❌ Lack of proper marketing training – So best fits for niche sites that focus on monetizing with ads and marketplace like Amazon.
Who is this course for?
Passive Income Geek is for those who want to make money online with blogging.
So this is for you if you are ready to learn and work hard in the development of your business.
There is no shortcut way to becoming a millionaire overnight.
You would also be someone who likes writing.
Blogging is about writing articles consistently every week.
If you cannot write and you don’t have money to invest in outsourcing content on a freelance marketplace like Fiverr, this is not for you.
Passive income Geek alternatives
I believe Passive Income Geek is a great course to learn how to make money blogging. The owner made his best by updating the course content regularly (according to his claim on the sale pagà). That is great and something I value so much because the internet is a fast-changing landscape.
But what doesn’t convince me is the last of real students’ success.
So if for one reason or another you want an alternative to Morten Storgaard’s Passive Income Geek blogging course, here are the best alternatives:
Wealthy Affiliate – With over 16 years in the industry Wealthy Affiliate is one of the leading platforms for learning how to make money with affiliate marketing throughout blogging. They have been teaching people for years now and there are tons of success stories you can check out here.
The best part is that you get access to the core training that is over 120 lessons but you also get a weekly webinar where you can get current strategies to grow your business.
This is exactly the platform I use myself and thanks to their training I managed to take this website from zero to 2k visitors per day within 9 months of starting it.
As for the cost it is only $49 per month or $495 per year. They offer a free membership plan. So you can try it before you make your purchase decision.
I have an in-depth Wealthy Affiliate review you can check out to learn more.
Income School Project 24 – Income Project 24 is another affiliate marketing training course that teaches SEO. The course has a good track record. Just like Passive Income Geek, you pay $449 for the first year and $249 every month.
You can read my Project 24 review to learn more about this course.

My Final Thoughts…
Passive Income Geek is a great blogging course. With its ups and downs.
Due to the course age and the lack of students’ real success stories, and other cons outlined above, I don’t recommend this course to my audience.
There are courses out there with good track records to consider.
