What Is Job Killing?
Launched in 2014 by Dan Klein and Brad Campbell, the Job Killing program is a lead generation training and coaching program where you will be learning how to build a successful online lead generation business that will help you get out of your 9 to 5 grind.
The training teaches you how to create your own lead generation website, rank it on search engines and then rent it to a local business owner for a profit.
The idea is a great idea and that can really be a good side hustle idea for full-time workers like me.
The best part, it is an asset you own and you have control over your business.
Because you make money from the work you have done, and you still have your property that is your website.

But the idea is not what matters here.
What matters here is that can you really make money online with Dan Klein’s Job Killing program?
In other words, can Dan Klein walk his talk and help you kill your day job and be financially free?

Who is Dan Klein?
Dan Klein is the initiator of the rank and rent business model.
The initial idea of creating a lead generation website, rank it, and then rent it to local small businesses comes from him.
The guy has a good track record in Marketing and this skill alone made him a successful and well-known online entrepreneur.
In order to make the Job Killing training program successful, Dan co-founded the company with a guy called Brad Campbell in 2014.
Brad Campbell is a well-known copywriter and blogger.
But since the launch of the program in 2014, we don’t hear Brad being aligned with the program again.
We don’t know when and why.
But it seems several complaints have been risen against the program.
Like not getting results for the price tag, etc.
Dan himself is a legend in internet marketing and he does what he teaches. This is a good point.
How does the Job Killing program work?
As I said, the business model Dan has brought to the online world the “rank and rent” business model.
And here is how it works:
- You choose a niche,
- You build a website,
- You create SEO-friendly content to rank it on search engines in a specific country,
- You rent it to local small businesses for a cash.
It sounds good and easy.
Right?
But what they don’t tell you is that creating a website is easy and everyone can do it – even my 4 years old daughter can do it.
But getting your website ranked on search engines is not for everyone. Mainly when it comes to ranking it in a specific country where you will be pitching local businesses to rent your site to make money is not an easy task.
Know that the true skill behind the rank and rent method isn’t the method itself.
The true skill is:
- search engine optimization (SEO),
- copyrighting,
- connecting with people and marketing,
- and offering to them the solution they’re looking for.
Plus it takes time and hard work than you think to get results.
After your site is getting traffic and your business is generating leads you will need to pitch small local businesses to sell your service to them.
Another thing they don’t tell you is the hardship and financial sacrifices you have to pass by in order to get results.
I am not referring to the course costs that is very costly with a lot of upsells down the road.

How Much Does Job Killing Cost?
Job Killing costs $15,000. This is the first time I write a review about a program that charges such an amount of money to people to learn a skill.
I have received high tickets programs such as Entre Institute, Amazon FBA Ninja, Authority Hacker, etc. but their price is 10x cheaper than these ones.
And guess what…
That is not all your expenses!
The hidden cost if you want to start with the Job Killing program
First off know like many programs there are upsells and Dan will try to upsells you other services such as Done For You sites, and other services.
Sure you don’t need to buy all these services. But even if you don’t buy them, you will still have to pay ongoing fees on hosting and domain name for your lead generation website.
Fortunately hosting and domain name are very relatively cheap.
But you will need to spend money on tools and content marketing like link building if you want to hit the top 10 pages on Google with your lead generation site.
What do you get for your money?
As I said earlier in this Job Killing review, it is a lead generation training and coaching program where you will learn how to rank and rent a website for a passive income.

Is Job Killing a scam?
The Job Killing is definitely a scam per se. The program is a good program and the method works.
Dan and other people like Ippei Kanehara were doing it for years and still doing it. If they are still doing it, it means a lot.
I know the course is very expensive and for that alone, some will be calling it a scam.
People who also go through it and didn’t get results will tag it as a scam.
But in my opinion, I don’t think it is enough to tag it as a scam.
The bottom line, it is a legit course. Only it is not for everyone.
That leads us to the next section of my Job Killing review where we will figure out who is this training program for.
Who is this program for?
In this section of my Job Killing review, I want to make things clear for you so that you can see by yourself if this is for you or not.
The Job Killing is for people who are good at closing sales on phone.
If you are an introvert like me, this program is not for you.
Because building your lead generation website and making it rank on search engines is one thing and getting clients to rent your websites is another thing.
For that, you will need to be good at phone calls. Personally, I don’t like phone calls.
I am an introvert and I like building websites and generating leads and sales without having to talk with clients on the phone or even chat with them directly.
So if you are not ready to call a local business owners to pitch them, think twice before you invest in this high ticket product.
It is a training and coaching program and you will be learning how to close sales on the phone. They also claim you get closing scripts & strategies to use.
But everyone with his personality and skillset.
If you are ready to learn phone marketing skills, you can go for it.
The Job Killing program is also for you if have thousands of dollars to invest in.
The course alone will cost you an arm and leg – $15,000.
On top of that, you will need to invest in tools and extra services to grow your business.
What is the Job Killing do differently?
There are several programs that teach this method online.
But what is unique about this program is that it teaches you how to build an asset you own and have control over.
For instance when you build your website and you rent it to a business owner, if this one stops paying you, you can take your business from him and find another local business owner to rent it again.
Plus it is something you can sell for a profit if you don’t want to continue with the process of renting it to businesses.
Most programs teach you how to use paid ads to generate leads for businesses.
This is something personally I don’t like because you are required to repeat the same process over and over to make money.
For example, if you stop running ads, there is no lead to generate, so no money for you.
Plus you don’t build something sustainable from it.
Job Killing review: the Pros and Cons
The Pros
✔ It is a legit and new business model,
✔ You are building an asset,
✔ Dan is a legit and genuine teacher and people are making money from it,
✔ You can be making a passive income from it,
✔ Great support and weekly calls.
The Cons
❌ The training course is expensive and maybe a good fit for beginners,
❌ Hidden costs (tools and other services),
❌ Building and ranking sites (SEO) takes time,
❌ Getting paid may be another challenge.
Final thoughts
Dan Klein’s Job Killing program is a great concept people can follow to make money online.
The best part he is still in the industry.
That means they teach what worked and still work today.
The program is good in my opinion.
But like any program, there are ups and downs and you need to consider them before you get involved.
What I don’t approve of is the price tag for the training.
Personally, I am not ready to invest such an amount of money in this course when I know I can get the same information 10x cheaper elsewhere.
Dan knows his stuff, but he is not alone doing it.
If you have thousands of money to invest in the training and the growth of your lead generation business, go for it. It is a good program.
But if you are just starting out and you are not ready to invest such an amount of money in training but still want to learn how to make money online I suggest you check out my top best affiliate marketing training courses to pick on to get started.
These training courses don’t teach you how to rent your site to local businesses but they teach you how to build authority websites and make passive income from them.
I agree the business model is great but you will need in some cases to chase your money.
